Known under the name
of SKANSEN
these open-air museums present the rural architecture
of the areas which surround them. The churches date from 17th
and 18th centuries, the other buildings of 19th in general but
they were used until the middle of the 20th century. They are
not reconstituted buildings but authentic buildings, dismounted,
transported and rebuilt on a selected site in order to preserve
them and to perpetuate the memory of the technical knowledge
and life of the rural world. An additional quality of the wood
architecture.
