Paneras of Asturies

 

 The "paneras" are as hórreos lengthened in a direction without deep modification of the structure (a beam ridge tile and intermediate feet to support the big reach). .

They also are often placed on low walls or to become the last level of a house.

They were built when spread the culture of the corn and when the harvests to be preserved were more important.

They are especially present in the Occidental part of Asturies.

In mountain elongation is weak and the roof is covered with patches of slate with sometimes a small attic window.

 As for hórreos, one always builds paneras which, by their size, agree well to inhabit.
