The hórreo of asturias is the most succeeded in the granaries of Spain, a work of quite wooden carpenter assembled without any nail, only in tongues, grooves and ankles. It is also the most aesthetic and harmonious shape of the granaries which one can see. It is only in this province where it abounds, and in some zones of the borders. Three characters distinguish it from every others: a squared plan, a body of granary made of vertical boards, a pyramidal roof with 4 hillsides.
